Origin8 Design Sprint Barcelona Summer Edition

FAQ

Design from the origins. Practice originating instead of innovating.

A five-day design sprint in Barcelona for studio owners, independent designers, and senior practitioners ready to design with deeper roots.
Experience Description

The first public edition of the Origin8 Design Sprint takes place in Barcelona, the city of Gaudí, in the year of his centenary. Eight participants. Five days of workshops, fieldwork at Colònia Güell and Gaudí's buildings, mentor sessions, and a final presentation. The work is rooted in the Origin8 Method, developed over a decade at the Gaudí Foundation. Five days of designing from the origins. Mornings are workshops at our studio in Barcelona. Afternoons are fieldwork: Gaudí's buildings, Colònia Güell, local studios, conversations with originators and artisans. Evenings are dinners and reflection. Participants bring a question from their own practice. A project, a brief, a creative block, a strategic shift. The Origin8 Method is applied to that question, end to end. The result is a design proposal you take home, ready to use. The cohort is small by design. Eight participants only. The work is intensive and assumes you arrive with a practice to bring with you.
